For many of us, myself included, meditating is a completely new experience. I began to understand the need to meditate when I wanted to receive answers from my higher self, but kept getting stuck. My ego and consciousness were blocking what my subconscious wanted to tell me.
In order to make the leap, I began to get signals that I should learn how to meditate. Having no idea what was involved,, I searched online as a place to get started and learn more about this mysterious relaxation technique.
I found out that a guided meditation was something that would help me the most. I downloaded a few free sessions from various web sites to get an idea of what it was like. Boy, was I blown away! I had no idea how powerful meditating could be. In just a few sessions, I was able to receive useful information from my higher self so quickly it was amazing.

Another unexpected benefit was how peaceful and relaxing it is listening to a soothing voice gently guiding your thoughts. For some time, the idea of sitting down for 20 to 30 minutes or so and doing nothing but listening to a soothing voice seemed rather silly, after all I was too busy for that! But after a handful of sessions, I came to realize just how powerful meditating can be. That half hour you take to get in touch with yourself can save you many hours in productivity and reduce your stress levels considerably.
Imagine knowing exactly what should be done next in your job or in your home life. That kind of positive knowing is possible when you are able to get comfortable with what your higher self is trying to tell you.
