I am blown away by the support of this community and the wonderful comments that have been posted. I am truly grateful to all of you.

It has been absolutely wonderful connecting with new friends and like-minded intuitive people. I love the diversity of each person’s specializations, like reading auras, mediumship, spirit guides, and oracle cards.

Two years…where have the days gone?

The Third Year

So, what plans do I have for this site in the upcoming year? As some of you may know from past posts, I left my day job June 10th to work full time from home. It has taken a few months, but feel I am finally getting into the groove of self-employment and self-discipline.

I will continue offering intuitive readings, while refining and honing my skills and specializations. There are some areas I really want to explore in more depth both from a learning perspective and also a historical perspective.

I will be writing more about psychic abilities, emotional healing, Archangels, astrology, astral projection, and lucid dreaming.

I am also dabbling with ideas for an e-book. Yikes!

I am also open to learning what you would like me to write about on Intuitive Journal or what you would like to see in an e-book. I would love it if you would drop me a comment below or just stop by and say hello.

Can Yoga Improve Your Psychic Abilities?

Do you have questions about yoga, psychic abilities, and what it has to offer you in the areas of physical health, mind-body balance, and exercise? This is something I have been asking myself recently. Today’s post is more for me than anything, so I am going to turn the tables and ask all of you some questions.

Resisting Guidance

One of my Spirit Guides has repeatedly been popping thoughts into my head about starting a yoga routine (for about the past two years). I can be a bit stubborn about some things, like trying a new exercise routine and have mostly ignored the messages. Thankfully my Guide is infinitely patient with me!

She sends me messages out of the blue that I should try it. Emails appear in my inbox offering discounts on sessions from a local yoga studio. A high school Facebook friend is becoming a yoga teacher. All sorts of Yoga people start following me on Twitter. My favorite metaphysical store moved right next door to a yoga studio. You get the idea.

I guess I am not sure why I have such a resistance to trying yoga. I have done other types of exercise programs in the past like step aerobics and really loved them (I think I may have just dated myself there!). I bought a yoga DVD and mat almost two years ago and it still sits unused. I guess my ego thinks I don’t need to do this, but my Guides have other ideas.

Improving Psychic Abilities with Yoga

I have read articles that state you can achieve a higher level of awareness and consciousness through yoga. I found this article pretty interesting. It discusses that through a practice of yoga, some of the side benefits are increased psychic abilities.

I also had a guest post earlier this year by Maria Rainier about the Physiological and Psychological Benefits of Yogic Meditation. She said that the combination of meditation and yoga had many holistic health benefits.

Losing Weight with Yoga

Perhaps some of my resistance to doing yoga is the amount of time out of my day. I really want to lose some extra weight and need some toning, but only have a limited amount of time to devote to it. Will yoga help me to lose weight? I have also considered something more extreme like Zumba Fitness or P90x training, but I don’t know if I am up for either of those challenges. Do I need both?

Your Experiences with Yoga

So, if you have done yoga, why did you start? Is it a good form of exercise? Is it best for mind-body balance? What has improved in your life because of it? What do I need to know before I start?

Is it more effective taking an actual class, or can you get the same results from a DVD? I guess what I am looking for are some real life testimonials to get me off center and finally try it.

I realize after typing this article that I am sounding like I am asking you to “prove it to me”. I think what I am really looking for is motivation. Starting a new routine never sounds like any fun.

I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Remote Viewing Practice Results

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in the Remote Viewing Practice post from Friday, September 9th. Here are the results.

In my last post I asked for volunteers to practice their remote viewing abilities. I was so excited to see that 17 people participated in this remote viewing exercise. That is just awesome!

The Answers

The Tarot cards are as follows: The High Priestess, The Sun, Justice, Judgement, and The Moon. These are from the Universal Waite deck of Tarot Cards.

My Notes

For those of you that are not familiar with Tarot cards, you did quite well. Your visual impressions captured many of the feelings from the cards.

There were many that were quite close, mentioning the sun, moon, and a queen (which is quite close to the High Priestess card).

No one picked up on the fact that they were all from the Major Arcana (the first 22 cards in the tarot deck).

For those of you who saw numbers, the corresponding numbers on the cards are #2 – High Priestess, #19 -Sun, #11-Justice,#20-Judgement, and #18-Moon.

Remote Viewing Practice – Friday Fun

Are you interested in practicing Remote Viewing for some Friday Fun? Record your impressions of the cards and leave your answer in the comments below.

I am starting something new on my blog and hope you will play along. I want to do this to add a little bit of fun around here, as many of the subjects I talk about here are a bit deep. I figure that if I feel like I need some fun, you probably do too.

So, if this goes well, I want to begin doing this as a regular Friday feature. I participated in a remote viewing thread on the Steve Pavlina forum a few years back and that is what gave me the idea.

What is Remote Viewing

According to the International Remote Viewing Association, “Remote viewing is a mental faculty that allows a perceiver (a “viewer”) to describe or give details about a target that is inaccessible to normal senses due to distance, time, or shielding.”

How to Participate

Find a quiet spot and center your mind. Feel the cards coming through to you and leave your impressions and answers in a comment below.

Because this is the first time I have posted this, I will tell you that these are Tarot cards. If you are not too familiar with Tarot cards, work on what is coming through via your visual impressions.

An Example of Not Using Your Intuition

Here is an employment related example of not using your intuition and the lessons learned from the experience. I wrote a guest post earlier this year about using intuition in a job search. I thought I would share an actual experience of what it is like to not use your intuition.

Intuition in Real Life

Don’t think that if you are intuitive, you have to all of a sudden open up a psychic practice. Intuition may be thought of as that “wu-wu” stuff, but it can have real life practical applications. It can be very useful in day to day interactions with friends, family, and co-workers and is worth developing.

Paying attention to the small, quiet signals that you are given throughout the day is key to accepting your intuitive abilities. Keeping a journal of your intuitive hits and misses can also help you to grow your trust in your own intuition.

The Long Road of Unemployment

I am writing this from a “been through that” perspective. We have been down the road of unemployment. Someone very close to me had two different prospective jobs lined up at one point and had been through the second and third interviews. He was waiting on a call from either employer.

The one he had really hoped would call did not call on the day they had said they were going to, but the other one did. He said he would think about the offer and have a final decision in a few days. He kept hoping the other company would call. They did not.

He returned the call of the company who had made the offer and said yes to the position. My heart sank when I heard him say yes. I knew right then it was a wrong move, but the deed was done.

The first day of the job for him was not a good report. Neither were the days and months to follow. He came to find out that the company who had not called had severe flooding damage and could not get into their office building. He ended up leaving the job he accepted after about seven months.

A Lesson Learned

Was it a good lesson? Yes. We both learned to listen to our intuition and not ignore the warning lights and sirens that were going off in both of our heads. We learned the hard way that a logical override was a poor choice in this circumstance. We have since moved on from that period of our lives, but I will say it was a difficult time in both of us.

I have since taken a different perspective on working for an employer and quit my day job a few weeks ago. The road of self-employment may not be rosy all the time, but at least I know I will never fire myself.

Angel Stories – Assistance from the Beyond

Over the years I have read many wonderful angel stories. This page is dedicated to those almost unexplainable things in our lives that there is no other way to explain except that there was help from the Divine to get us out of a situation or help us to see a situation more clearly.

The White Tunnel

I will start this off with one of my own angel stories. I would love it if you would share yours as well. Just leave a comment below.

About 5 years ago we had an incredible snowstorm that started in mid-afternoon. My work closed down early and I still had to pick up my son at daycare before the 15 mile drive ahead of me. I started off and could barely make the turn onto the street to pick up my son, as I have a smaller low to the ground car and no 4-wheel drive. I somehow managed to get back on to the main road and headed toward home. I thought the visibility would improve once I got to the highway, but the weather turned worse. This was some of the worst white-out conditions I have ever encountered.

Here I was driving with my son in the backseat and it was a complete white-out in front of me and 15 miles to get home. Crawling along at 20-30 miles per hour with no visibility made for an extremely tense drive. I could not make out where the side of the road was or where the ditch was. I just kept pointing the car in the direction I thought was correct and hoped I didn’t drive into the ditch or field or hit another car.

I was slowly making progress when the white-out conditions became so bad that I began to feel like the car was floating. It felt as though I was going through this eerie white tunnel, as there was absolutely no visibility anywhere just completely bright white. I could not hear a sound from the storm or from the engine. There was nothing but absolute silence. At one point, I really thought we had an accident, died and our souls were traveling through this white tunnel. I drove in this for about 10-15 minutes.

During that time I repeatedly asked for the Angels protection, and specifically Archangel Michael to get me home safely. All I kept thinking about during that drive was seeing my driveway and turning in. I had to make a left turn at one point and then ended up navigating around three other cars that were at various angles in the ditches.

I knew the house and driveway were getting close. I attempted to gauge the driveway entrance, turned in and promptly got stuck in my driveway. It took me a few hours to calm down after that harrowing experience. I know the Angels were on my side that afternoon. Without their assistance, I know I never would have made it home safely.

Rediscovering Your Intuition

You intuition can become so buried in the day to day business of life and what others think, it is easy to think you never had any intuition in the first place or were too scared to pursue your intuitive abilities. Some of you have even been told developing your intuition can be dangerous.

Do you wonder if you have any intuition at all? Do you feel as though you’ve lost your intuition, or never had any in the first place? I used to feel that way for many years. I love the quote above, and wish I had been able to refer to that when I was younger.

Remember When…

Remember back when you were a small child and the ways of the world were unknown to you yet? Back then you saw the world in black and white, good and bad, and there weren’t any shades of gray?

As a young child you used your intuition to protect yourself from scary strangers, dangerous situations, and to figure out who was a good friend.

Along the years, out intuition gets shut down by a variety of things. Many religions talk quite negatively about intuitive abilities. Other times, it may be your friends and family. When you are young and still developing your mind and body, it can be quite easy for your intuition to be shut down. You may have been unsure of yourself, and didn’t understand what was happening or why. There may have been little to no support.

In my household growing up, people with psychic abilities were hardly ever discussed. It just wasn’t a part of our lives, nor was it expected to be. I remember having a conversation at dinner one night about a psychic, Shirley MacLaine, that had made the news. I don’t even remember what the news piece was about, it would have been in the early 80′s, but at our dinner table it was completely scoffed at, made fun of and dismissed in quick order. I jumped on the bandwagon and began making fun of it as well, following in my family’s footsteps.

It was basically “go along to get along”, especially when it came to my Dad. Life just didn’t work that way in our house. Just keep working hard, there’s no room for intuition. What is THAT, anyway?

The Lightbulb Goes On

It was quite interesting, some 30 or so years later to be having a similar discussion at my place of work. Some years back, long before this website was created, I loudly made a comment about not believing in psychic abilities to some co-workers. It just finally clicked, that what I said was the same thing as what I had said about 30 years earlier to my family around the dinner table.

I really took some time to question myself about what I had said. Did I truly believe that or was I just parroting what others had said? I came to the conclusion it was the latter. Hmm…what you speak loudest about…may actually have some bearing.

Ready for More

I then started thinking about some of the unexplainable experiences I have had throughout the years that I had just blown off as coincidence or not even mentioned them to others.

After that point I proceeded to learn as much as I could about anything related to psychic abilities, spirituality, and intuition. It was like something inside of me pushing me (perhaps my Spirit Guides!) to learn as much as I could to catch up on all of the years I had ignored my abilities and pushed them away.

What developing my intuitive abilities has done for me has given me a sense of finally finding myself, of being comfortable with myself and discovering my life’s purpose (or at least has gotten me a lot closer to it).

How Spirit Guides Help Us Through Life

Your spirit guide team is comprised of a group of incorporeal beings that are here to assist you with your incarnation here on this Earth. They are comprised of entities that have incarnated before, most of them for a number of lifetimes. They were chosen by you before you incarnated to be a part of your team when you were ready.

This is the second in a series of articles I am writing on spirit guides. I highly encourage you to read the first article: Spirit Guides – Who’s on Your Team?

Hiring Your Guides

Your guides come in at various stages in your life. You do not need many guides when you are young as you do not have very many decisions to make at that point. As your responsibilities increase, they are asked to take their place and begin assisting you in making decisions and choices that are in your highest path and purpose.

Please note, that you are never required to follow their advice or suggestions. You have free will to make any choice you wish. Your spirit guides can only suggest certain paths of action and hope that you make choices in alignment with that. If you go off course, they will recalculate the game plan and try alternate methods to get in touch with you as to what the next best option would be to get you back on the plan of your highest path and purpose.

Your guides are aware of the plan your soul has chosen for this lifetime. The better able you are to connect with your guides, the less struggles you will encounter. They are here to help you out with your life’s purpose for this lifetime. Your guides would never ask you to do anything that would put you in danger or cause you undue harm. They are YOUR team and each soul has a unique group of guides that work specifically on your behalf.

What do guides help us with here on Earth?

Spirit guides offer assistance in the areas of life purpose, career, finance, health and wellness, family, relationships, career changes, death and grieving, spirituality, and many other areas. The assist us in completing our chosen life lesson.

Guides each have their own soul vibration rate and their own personalities. They speak through wisdom to assist you along the years you are here on Earth. They assist you in learning your life lessons in various ways. They do so hope that you utilize the resources available to you and will keep trying until you see those resources for yourself.

Ask for Your Guides Assistance

They of course cannot force you to listen to them, in fact many of you have disregarded your guides and are thinking that there is no help there for you. There is, but you have to seek it out, find them, and ask for their assistance.

You get so caught up in the beauty of the Earth and the physical things, such as politics, food, and relationships, that you forget about the spiritual side of things and the reason you incarnated in the first place.

Your personal spirit guides are waiting in the wings, read and able to offer you new choices and advice. If only you let them in to your life. Your guides think that sometimes make your incarnation here on Earth much more difficult than it needs to be. All you have to do is ask for their assistance.

Want to Create a New Result? Try Spring Cleaning

I thought this was rather interesting. I guess early April is a good month for spring cleaning, because I wrote another post about spring cleaning negative energy from your home last year too.

The Process

My spirit guides had told me that I needed to declutter my home this week, so on Saturday I headed up to my spare bedroom to get busy. They had been giving me the same message all week. I had asked what was needed to increase my income on my websites as it seems to have stagnated. The words of wisdom and intuition was to declutter my physical surroundings. I was also routed to several pages on Feng Shui, which is something that is pretty new to me. I only just know a few basics about it. One of the first things regarding Feng Shui is decluttering your home.

So, that is exactly what I did this weekend. Although every area of my home could use a spring cleaning in some way or another, my intuition guided me to the least used room in the house. Unless we have someone staying overnight, the room does not even get opened for weeks at a time. This leads it to become somewhat of a storage facility, as it is a dumping ground for my son’s outgrown clothing, and anything else that doesn’t have a home yet. When I walked in, there were 5-6 boxes of clothing and other household items that needed to be donated, the bed was not made and I couldn’t set foot in the closet. It was by far the messiest room in the house, due to neglect.

I spent about 3 hours on cleaning the room, which included fixing the bed, cleaning the closet, washing the floor and cleaning out a bookcase, along with dusting everything in the room top to bottom. Once I was complete with that room, I moved to the hallway and bathroom. I spent about 6 hours total cleaning my home yesterday. I opened three windows for about 30 minutes to let the fresh Spring air flow throughout the rooms.

My Results

The next morning, I got up to check stats and email on my blog and websites. I was amazed at what I found.

One of the sites I own had increased traffic of almost 1000%. I know that sounds hard to believe, but in the six years I have owned the site, I have never had traffic like that in one day.

Another site I own also showed increased traffic by about 12% from the day before.

One of my main sources of advertising income increased 200% from where it had been stagnating for the past three months. Even as I write this, it is also today steadily surpassing yesterday’s numbers.

I was so energized by the cleaning that I finished a web page later in the evening that had sat undone for the past two months.

What’s my take away from this? Well, my stats and web income had been stagnant for the past three months. I asked my spirit guides how to change this and the answer I was given was to clean my house. I cleaned my house and my traffic and income increased dramatically in the course of one day.

I know that many of you want analytics and logical proof. There are just some times that you have to go on faith and roll with what your intuition tells you to do. I’m rolling with this method!

Many of you that read this blog have already made great strides in learning to access your natural born intuitive abilities.
