Your Life Path Number

In numerology, this number is calculated using your date of birth, and thus never changes. It can give you indications of your soul’s purpose during this lifetime and what lessons are yet to be learned. It is one of the most important numbers in numerology.

Knowing the meaning of this number and its interpretations can help provide answers and guidance to many of the questions you have about your own life and if you are headed in the right direction with your personal growth and development. This number represents who you are; your strengths and talents, personality traits, and your life journey.

How to Calculate Your Life Path Number

To calculate your life path number, add all of the digits together in your birthday, including the year, and reduce it down to a single digit.

For example:

If your birth date was 05/16/1943:

You would first add the individual numbers together in the month of birth. (0+5 in the example=5)

Then add the individual numbers together in the day of birth (1+6 in the example = 7)

Then add the individual numbers together in the year of birth (1+9+4+3 in the example =17. Reduce 17 down to 1+7=8)

Add the 3 answers together: 5+7+8=20. Reduce 20 to a single digit number (2+0). The life path number is 2.
